Application requires a passing inspection from a Denver-registered Licensed Professional Home Inspector (not city staff) demonstrating compliance with Minimum Housing Standards (DRMC Β§27-51). Re-inspection every 4 years at license renewal. Base fee is $50 per property plus $5 per rental unit. Properties must post license number in all rental listings. Denver Department of Excise & Licenses enforces. Short-term rentals (under 30 days) use a separate STR license, not this program.
Operating without license: $150 first offense, $500 second, $999 per day thereafter. Advertising without license number visible: $150 citation. Failed inspection: 30 days to cure or license denied.
