Denver limits large commercial vehicle parking on residential streets to 2 hours. A 2023 ordinance expanded restrictions citywide. Trucks used for active work are excepted.
Denver City Council approved updated rules in 2023 restricting large commercial vehicles β including trucks, trailers, semi-trailers, and similar vehicles β to 2-hour parking limits on residential, commercial, and industrial streets citywide. Exceptions apply when the vehicle is being actively used for services in that neighborhood. The distance a large vehicle must move to reset the parking clock was increased from 100 feet to 700 feet. The change addressed complaints that commercial operators were using city streets as free storage lots. Denver's zoning code (Β§11.7.1.1) also restricts accessory parking of commercial vehicles in residential zone districts.
Tickets $25β$75. Repeated violations may result in towing.
