Unlike Columbus which launched mandatory rental registration in 2023, Dublin has not adopted a city-wide rental license program for long-term rentals. Rental properties are still subject to the Dublin Property Maintenance Code (Code Chapter 153, adopting the International Property Maintenance Code with amendments) and must meet Ohio Landlord-Tenant Act habitability standards. Code enforcement responds to complaints. Rental property owners must register a local contact if residing out of state per standard Ohio practice. Short-term rentals (under 30 days) are treated as transient lodging and subject to Dublin and Franklin County bed tax collection.
