Riverpoint is an unincorporated community (population 774) in King County, Washington. Because Riverpoint is not an incorporated city, it does not have its own municipal code. Unincorporated King County does not operate a general rental registration program. If you rent in an incorporated city, check that city ordinance. In unincorporated King County, code enforcement can still inspect rentals for habitability, safety, and zoning compliance upon complaint, and landlords must comply with KCC Title 21A occupancy and development standards.
Unlicensed landlords operating without a state business license face WA DOR penalties. Failure to provide required tenant disclosures can expose landlords to penalties under RCW 59.18. Violations of city-specific rental registration (in Seattle or other King County cities) carry their own fines.
