Airbnb's AirCover Host Liability program and Vrbo's Liability Insurance program each provide up to USD 1,000,000 per occurrence in secondary coverage on bookings made through those platforms, but these are not substitutes for primary coverage and only apply to qualifying claims. Oregon's transient lodging tax statute (ORS 320.300 to 320.365) governs the 1.5 percent state lodging tax that applies on top of Eugene's local 4.5 percent Transient Room Tax, and is also independent of any insurance question.
