Bellevue STRs must provide on-site parking consistent with the residential zone and describe parking in the Registration Notice under LUC 20.20.800. Guest overflow cannot exceed normal residential use.
Under LUC 20.20.800, short-term stay uses in Bellevue must provide adequate on-site parking for guests. Each single-family dwelling is generally required to provide at least two off-street parking spaces under LUC 20.20.590. STR operators must disclose parking arrangements in the Registration Notice filed with Development Services and inform guests in house rules where to park. Commercial-style signage directing traffic or advertising the rental is not permitted in residential zones. Overflow parking that creates excessive street congestion beyond typical residential patterns can be cited as a nuisance and may contribute to registration revocation. Bellevue also enforces citywide street parking rules including the 72-hour maximum, blocked driveway prohibitions, and no parking within 5 feet of a driveway or 15 feet of a fire hydrant under BCC 11.32. Neighborhoods with Residential Parking Zones (RPZ) may require permits that STR guests cannot legally use.
Street parking violations: standard parking citations and towing. Repeated STR-related parking complaints: documentation for registration enforcement action.
