Unincorporated Manatee County has no STR-specific parking ordinance yet. A proposed 2026 ordinance would prohibit guest street parking and require one off-street space per four guests, limited to the driveway and garage. Until adopted, general county parking rules apply.
Florida FS 509.032(7) permits local noise, parking, and trash regulations that apply uniformly to all residential properties. Manatee County has not adopted STR-specific parking rules for the unincorporated area, so standard residential parking/junk-vehicle provisions of the county code govern. The June 2026 draft ordinance would require a minimum of one off-street parking space for every four guests, prohibit guests from parking on the street, and confine parking to the driveway and garage. That ordinance is proposed, not adopted (earliest hearing after July 28, 2026).
No STR parking fine exists yet. Vehicles violating general county parking or right-of-way rules can still be cited. Any future STR parking penalty would come from the adopted ordinance.
