Marana, AZ Sidewalk & Pedestrian Rules: Obstruction Rules (2026)

The Town of Marana prohibits obstructing public sidewalks, walkways, and pedestrian paths. Property owners are required to trim trees, shrubs, and other vegetation that overhangs or encroaches onto adjacent sidewalks to maintain a minimum vertical clearance of seven feet and full horizontal clearance of the sidewalk width. Failure to maintain vegetation clearance may result in a code enforcement notice and, if not corrected, town abatement at the property owner's expense.
