NY Executive Law 387(14) and 19 NYCRR 1228.2 require pool alarms meeting ASTM F2208 on all pools built or substantially modified after December 14, 2006. Anti-entrapment drain covers compliant with the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (15 USC 8003) are required on public and semi-public pools. GFCI protection required per NEC Article 680. Temporary 48-inch barrier required during pool construction, replaced within 90 days.
