Refuse and recycling carts must be placed at curb or tree lawn with handles facing house and 3 feet clear on all sides. Carts may not block sidewalks, fire hydrants, or mailboxes.
Per Grove City Codified Ordinance 933.05 and Local Waste Services placement guidelines, carts must be set at the edge of the tree lawn with wheels toward the home. A 3-foot clearance is required around each cart so automated collection arms can grip without obstruction. Carts blocking sidewalks violate GCCO 660.06 (public way obstruction). Between collections, carts must be stored in side or rear yard, screened from street view where practical. Corner lots place carts on the primary frontage.
