Saginaw County runs no countywide trash service. The City of Saginaw operates municipal curbside collection, Saginaw Township and other members collect through the Mid-Michigan Waste Authority, and rural residents subscribe to private haulers.
There is no Saginaw County pickup route — collection is a city or township job. The City of Saginaw runs its own municipal Rubbish Services with weekly curbside trash; set carts out by 7 a.m. on your collection day. Saginaw Township, Frankenmuth and dozens of other communities belong to the Mid-Michigan Waste Authority (MMWA), a 34-member public consortium that provides curbside trash, recycling and yard-waste collection. Township pickup runs Mondays south of Weiss Street and Tuesdays north of it. Residents outside any municipal program arrange their own private hauler and pay that company directly.
No county citation exists for a missed pickup. Bin, set-out and service rules are enforced by your city or MMWA member community; accumulated refuse can be abated as a nuisance under local code.
