Nighttime curfew typically runs from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday and midnight to 6:00 AM Friday and Saturday. A daytime curfew applies on school days from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Standard exceptions cover travel with parents, work, school, religious activities, errands directed by guardians, and First Amendment activity. The order is reviewed every three years by Commissioners Court.
Curfew violation is a Class C misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $500. Parents who knowingly permit violations may also be cited.
