Oklahoma City Municipal Code Β§30-81 prohibits minors under 17 from being in public places between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday, and midnight to 6:00 AM Friday and Saturday. Exceptions: accompanied by parent or guardian; traveling to/from lawful employment; returning from organized school, religious, or civic activities; emergencies; on the sidewalk immediately adjacent to the minor's residence; exercising First Amendment rights with parental consent. Edmond Code Β§22-40 enforces 11 PM-5 AM school nights, midnight-5 AM weekends. Midwest City Β§22-3 uses 10 PM school, midnight weekend. Del City and Bethany have similar ordinances. Enforcement: Officers may detain and return minors home or transport to juvenile holding. Repeat offenders may be referred to the Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau. State framework under 10A O.S. Β§2-8-101 authorizes municipal curfew ordinances. Habitual violations can trigger CHINS (Child in Need of Supervision) proceedings.
First offense: warning + parental notification. Repeat: parent fined $50 to $500 (OKC Β§30-83). Habitual: referral to Oklahoma County Juvenile Bureau.
