Bucks County operates an extensive park system through the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation, with signature parks including Core Creek Park (Middletown), Peace Valley Park (New Britain Township, with Lake Galena), Silver Lake Nature Center (Bristol Township), Churchville Nature Center, Neshaminy Manor, and many smaller properties. County park hours are typically dawn to dusk (or 9 PM in summer) unless posted otherwise, per regulations adopted by the Bucks County Commissioners. After-hours access is a summary offense under the park rules and may be prosecuted as defiant trespass under 18 Pa.C.S. §3503(b).
