Β§115922 requires any new or remodeled residential pool (>18 inches deep) to have at least TWO of seven approved drowning-prevention safety features. The primary feature is an enclosure at least 60 inches high with maximum 4-inch gaps, 2-inch bottom clearance on chain-link, no climbable crossbars, self-closing/self-latching gates opening outward, with latch 60 inches above grade. Additional features include ASTM F1346 safety pool cover, exit alarms on doors leading to pool, self-closing/self-latching devices on doors, pool alarms, or removable mesh barrier with ASTM F2286 compliance. Fresno County Building Services inspects per Β§115925.
