Bristol Borough ordinance (Ord. 704, September 8, 1969, §2) states that no person, firm, or corporation owning or occupying property within the Borough shall permit grass, weeds, or vegetation not edible or planted for useful or ornamental purposes to grow beyond specified limits. Buffer yards in the zoning code specify that grass must not exceed 12 inches in height and the area must be maintained free of debris, rubbish, and weeds. The Borough adopted the International Property Maintenance Code (IPMC 2003 edition) which provides additional property maintenance standards. The Code Enforcement office enforces vegetation and property maintenance violations.
