Under Section 16-1, property owners must keep their lands free of brush, weeds, dead and dying trees, stumps, roots, obnoxious growths, filth, garbage, trash, and debris where the same are inimical to public health, safety, or general welfare, or constitute a fire hazard. Where lands border a public street, owners must remove all grass, weeds, brush, and other debris from the street border. Enforcement personnel may order removal with a 10-day compliance period. If not complied with, the Township may cause removal and bill the property owner. The exterior of premises must also be kept free of nuisances and hazards.
