Nueces County has no outdoor-music ordinance. In Corpus Christi, outdoor sound must meet the § 31-3 property-line limits (70 dB(A) day, 60 dB(A) night), except the downtown/bayfront Entertainment District, where up to 85 dB(A) is allowed at all times.
Texas counties cannot regulate outdoor music, so unincorporated Nueces County has no rule. Corpus Christi treats outdoor bands, patios, and speakers under the same § 31-3 caps as any other noise: 70 dB(A) daytime and 60 dB(A) overnight at the receiving property line. The special exception is § 31-3(3): within the delineated downtown, bayfront, and port Entertainment District, sound that both originates and is received inside the district may reach 85 dB(A) at all times. Scheduled stadium events and permitted parades are also exempt under § 31-6. Beachfront events on Padre/Mustang Island fall under Corpus Christi or Port Aransas rules.
Outdoor music over the applicable § 31-3 limit is a misdemeanor under § 31-8, fined per § 1-6, each day a separate violation.
