Manhattan follows NYC Traffic Rules Β§4-08(k) banning overnight parking (9 PM to 5 AM) of commercial vehicles over 10,000 lbs on residential streets. Commercial vehicles with advertising placards are also restricted. Active deliveries and service calls are exempt during business hours. Tractor-trailers and construction equipment prohibited on residential streets at all times. Double-parking of commercial vehicles for deliveries limited to 30 minutes. DOT and NYPD enforce. Parking placards for commercial vehicles do not override residential restrictions.
