Florida's Uniform Traffic Control Law (FS Chapter 316), which Fort Myers adopts in Chapter 86, sets the baseline no-parking distances that apply regardless of whether the curb is painted: FS 316.1945 prohibits stopping, standing, or parking on a sidewalk, in front of a public or private driveway, within an intersection, within 15 feet of a fire hydrant, within 20 feet of a crosswalk at an intersection, within 30 feet of a flashing signal/stop sign/yield sign/traffic-control signal at the side of a roadway, within 20 feet of the driveway entrance to any fire station, and on any controlled-access highway.
