Marana, AZ Parking Rules: Overnight Parking (2026)

Marana regulates vehicle parking and storage under Town Code Section 15-5-12. While the town does not impose a blanket overnight street parking ban, vehicles parked on public streets must maintain current registration and may not be abandoned or inoperable. Arizona state law under ARS 28-871 establishes a 72-hour limit for vehicles parked on state highways. Marana Code Enforcement addresses vehicles that appear abandoned or are parked in violation of posted restrictions. In master-planned communities such as Dove Mountain, Continental Ranch, Gladden Farms, and Saguaro Bloom, HOA CC&Rs frequently prohibit overnight street parking entirely or limit it to a specified number of consecutive nights. These HOA rules are enforced through the community association rather than town code enforcement. Vehicles must be parked on improved surfaces in residential areas, and parking on unpaved front yards or desert landscaping is a code violation. Commercial vehicles over a certain weight class may face additional overnight parking restrictions in residential zones.
