Montebello's oversized-vehicle regime, in Chapter 10.68 of the Municipal Code (substantially amended by Ordinance No. 2478, effective August 15, 2024), is one of the stricter parts of its parking law. Section 10.68.020 defines an oversized vehicle as any vehicle, or combination of connected vehicles, that exceeds 25 feet in length, 80 inches in width, or 82 inches in height, excluding pickup trucks and SUVs under 25 feet long and 82 inches high. Regardless of dimensions, buses, trailers and semi-trailers (including boat trailers and stand-alone boats), trailer coaches, and recreational vehicles are also treated as oversized.
