Lehigh County does not zone parking; rules come from your city or borough. In Allentown, dual-wheel motor homes and truck campers may not be parked on residential streets, but a 24-hour loading/unloading permit is available from the Parking Authority.
Pennsylvania counties do not regulate on-street parking. Land use is municipal under the Municipalities Planning Code (53 P.S. §10101 et seq.), so RV and boat parking is set by Allentown, Bethlehem, Emmaus or your borough. Allentown's Chapter 615 makes it unlawful to park dual-wheel motor homes, truck campers, trailers and oversized vehicles on residential streets (except I-2 and I-3 industrial districts). Owners of recreation vehicles or truck campers may obtain a 24-hour permit from the Allentown Parking Authority to load or unload, renewable another 24 hours. Boats on trailers fall under the trailer rules. Check your specific municipality; smaller boroughs may allow driveway storage that Allentown restricts.
Allentown truck/trailer violations: $100 if paid within 10 days, $150 after; vehicle may be towed immediately if it poses a safety hazard (§615-64).
