Davenport bans storing RVs, boats, campers, and travel trailers in the front yard, front driveway, or on the street. They must sit inside a garage or in a screened side or rear yard.
Davenport's zoning code (Title 17, with Sections 10.64 and 17.16.05) is strict about recreational-vehicle storage. Boats, campers, motorhomes, and travel trailers may be kept only inside a garage or in a side or rear yard β never in the front yard, on the front driveway, or on the street. A recreational vehicle or hauling trailer may sit outdoors in a front or corner side yard, including on a driveway in those yards, for no more than four days at a time, which covers loading and trips but not long-term parking. Vehicles must stay registered and operable, and any RV stored on a nondurable surface like grass or dirt is a separate violation.
Code enforcement issues a notice with a correction period; unresolved violations bring escalating fines. An RV left in a front or corner side yard beyond four days, or stored on grass or dirt, can be tagged and ordered removed.
