Metro Code §12.40.040 applies throughout Davidson County. General street parking is allowed unless a sign prohibits it. Prohibited locations include within 30 feet of traffic signals/signs, within 25 feet of fire station driveways, bicycle lanes, and residential permit parking zones without a permit. NDOT manages parking enforcement. Beginning April 7, 2025, NDOT introduced updated parking rates, economy zones, and parking limits for metered areas. Standard violation: $50. Vehicles illegally parked 48+ hours on public property are subject to tow under TCA §55-16-103.
