Adams County's Vehicle Regulations (DSR 4-03-03-02-14) set the county's street-parking limits for the unincorporated area. Recreational vehicles and any type of trailer may park on a public right-of-way for no more than 24 hours. Unlicensed and inoperable vehicles may not be stored or parked on any public right-of-way for any time period. The county has no blanket time cap on an ordinary licensed, operable passenger car on the street; those are handled under state traffic law and abandonment statutes. Enforcement is by Adams County Code Compliance and the Adams County Sheriff's Office (720.322.1700 for abandoned street vehicles).
Code Compliance and the Sheriff handle unlicensed/inoperable and over-time vehicles; unlawfully parked units may be tagged, cited, and towed at the owner's expense.
