Items for sale must be personal household goods, not commercially purchased merchandise for resale. All items and signage must be removed promptly at the end of each sale day. Sales must be conducted on the seller's property and not encroach into the public right-of-way, sidewalk, or street. Parking for sale attendees must not block driveways, fire hydrants, or create traffic hazards. Signs advertising the sale must comply with SMMC temporary sign provisions. Ongoing or frequent sales may be classified as a commercial activity requiring a business license.
