Siskiyou County, CA Short-Term Rentals: Parking Rules (2026)

Off-street parking is one of the objective standards a property must meet under Section 10-6.6104. Subsection (H) requires the property to have one off-street parking space plus an additional off-street parking space for each bedroom. A three-bedroom vacation rental, for instance, must provide four off-street spaces (one base plus three). Because parking is part of the Section 10-6.6104 conditions, the applicant must certify compliance under penalty of perjury and the Building and Environmental Health inspections confirm the property meets the standards before a VR Activity Permit issues. Section 10-6.6109 further requires that the notice posted prominently inside the rental, next to the front door, spell out parking restrictions for guests, along with prohibitions on outdoor burning, firearms, and fireworks. The earlier use-permit standard under the repealed Section 10-6.1502(h) used the same one-space-plus-one-per-bedroom formula and permitted tandem spaces, so the practical parking expectation has carried forward into Article 61.
