Henderson has no ban on expanded polystyrene foam takeout containers, cups, or coolers, and Nevada has enacted no statewide foam restriction, so foodservice operators may continue using EPS products.
Expanded polystyrene foam is restricted in numerous coastal states, but Nevada has not adopted a statewide ban and Henderson has not enacted a local restriction. Restaurants, delis, and grocery hot bars in Henderson can still package hot food in foam clamshells. The city participates in regional anti-litter campaigns through Henderson Sustainability Plan goals but treats foam reduction as voluntary. SNHD food code requires only that single-use containers be unused and protected before service, regardless of material. Lake Mead Recreation Area separately bans glass containers but allows foam.
There is no Henderson penalty for selling, using, or distributing EPS foam foodware. Litter-related violations apply only when items are discarded improperly in the right-of-way.
