Chemical storage must be in a locked, ventilated area out of children's reach. Depth markers must be placed at all entry points. Electrical equipment must be GFCI protected. Annual self-inspection checklists are recommended and may be required at permit renewal for pools associated with STR properties.
Pool safety violations carry fines of $200–$1,000. Non-compliant drain covers must be replaced within 30 days. Failure to meet safety standards may result in pool closure orders.
