Set your 96-gallon cart curbside by 6 a.m. on your collection day, or the night before, and remove it the same day. Between pickups, carts must be stored out of view from the street.
The City's official guidance directs residents to place the garbage container at the curb the night before or by 6 a.m. the day of pickup, then remove it the same day. Under Section 14-5(B), the Solid Waste Director may set regulations on days of collection and the location of containers. Section 14-117 requires carts to be stored so they are not visible from the street except on collection day. Have garbage bagged before placing it in the cart.
Improperly stored containers or curbside litter are enforceable under Code Sec. 1-8 by Building and Codes.
