Showing ordinances that apply to Turley, OK
Turley is an unincorporated community (population 2,607) in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Because Turley is not an incorporated city, it does not have its own municipal code. Instead, Tulsa County ordinances apply directly to properties here. The bin placement rules rules below are the ones that govern your area.
Tulsa residents must place refuse carts curbside by 6 AM with lids closed and retrieve within 24 hours of collection under TRO ยง23-120. Bins stored out of public view between pickups. Unincorporated county placement rules set by private hauler contract.
TRO ยง23-120 requires Tulsa TARE customers to place the 96-gallon carts at the curbside or alley edge by 6 AM on the designated collection day. Carts must be placed with handles facing the house, lids fully closed, and spaced 3 feet apart from each other and 3 feet away from mailboxes, parked cars, utility poles, and fire hydrants. Carts must be retrieved from the curb and returned to the storage location within 24 hours of pickup completion. Between collections, carts must be stored out of public view from the street โ typically beside the house, in a side yard, garage, or behind a screening fence. Historic Pearl District, Tracy Park, and Maple Ridge overlay zones may impose stricter screening requirements under TRO ยง70 Historic Preservation. Unincorporated county residents follow the terms of their private hauler agreement; TCSO does not enforce bin-placement rules outside city limits, but HOAs can.
Bin left out past 24 hours: written warning first offense, then $50 per occurrence. Improperly placed bins (blocking sidewalk, fire hydrant, mail): $100 to $200 under TRO ยง23-120. Historic district non-compliance: additional $250 under ยง70.
