Bulk pickup in Cornelius is available by appointment for Town solid waste customers. Accepted items include furniture, mattresses, carpeting (bundled), and white goods such as washers, dryers, and refrigerators (CFC-containing appliances must have refrigerant professionally removed and tagged). Electronics, paint, tires, construction debris, and hazardous chemicals are NOT accepted curbside and must be taken to the Mecklenburg County Full-Service Solid Waste Facility on North Tryon Street or the Foxhole Landfill. Residents may request up to a set number of bulk pickups per year at no charge; additional pickups may incur fees. Items must be placed at the curb only the night before the scheduled pickup.
