Unincorporated El Paso County has no scheduled bulk pickup. Residents self-haul large items to the Clint landfill or use the county's free Community Cleanup events, which accept bulk trash, tires, and e-waste. Dumping bulk items is a state offense.
There is no county curbside bulk-trash program in unincorporated El Paso County. Residents dispose of furniture, appliances, mattresses, and other oversized items by self-hauling to the county landfill at 2600 Darrington Road in Clint, or by bringing them to the free Community Cleanup events held Saturdays 8 a.m. to noon. Those events 'collect and dispose of household waste, passenger tires, bulk trash, electronic waste and recyclable materials' at no charge. Private haulers such as El Paso Disposal also offer roll-off and bulk service for a fee. Because there is no free scheduled curbside bulk pickup, dumping large items on roadsides, arroyos, or vacant land is a problem the county targets under Tex. HSC Sec. 365.012.
Dumping bulk items rather than hauling them to an approved site is an offense under Tex. HSC Sec. 365.012, graded by weight and volume from a Class C misdemeanor up to a state jail felony. Report to 915-546-2280.
