Charlotte's Code Enforcement division, under the Land Use and Environmental Services Agency (LUESA) operated by Mecklenburg County, handles property maintenance and zoning violations within the city. Reports can be submitted by calling CharMeck 311 at 704-336-7600 (Mon-Fri 7 AM - 7 PM), online at servicerequest.charlottenc.gov, or through the CLT+ mobile app available on iOS and Android. The CLT+ app allows photo uploads, GPS-tagged locations, and push notification updates on case status. Anonymous complaints are accepted through all channels. After filing, a case number is assigned. Residents can search for existing code cases by parcel ID, address, or case number at charlottenc.gov. Common reportable issues include overgrown vegetation, abandoned vehicles, junk/debris, dilapidated structures, and zoning violations.
