Pico Rivera parks and recreation areas are closed to the public between 10 p.m. and one-half hour before sunrise, unless an attendant or supervisor is present. The rule is set in Chapter 8.44 of the Municipal Code.
Under Chapter 8.44 (Parks) of the Pico Rivera Municipal Code, no person other than authorized city personnel may enter, remain in, or visit any part of a city park or recreation area between the hours of 10 p.m. and one-half hour before sunrise on any day, unless an attendant or supervisor is present. Visitors must also leave when asked to do so by a law enforcement officer or authorized city personnel. Additional rules adopted by the parks superintendent and posted under Section 8.44.050 carry the force of the code once approved by the City Council, and it is unlawful to violate any posted park rules. The parks director's designee may evict anyone who violates these provisions.
Being in a city park during closed hours, refusing to leave when directed, or violating posted park rules is a violation of the Municipal Code and can result in eviction from the park and a citation.
