Section 18.19.020(B), the General Provisions limitations on parking and loading areas in Chapter 18.19, addresses recreational vehicles directly in subsection (B)(2): in residential zones, no mobile home, trailer, dismounted camper, boat or similar recreational vehicle may be stored or parked in the front yard setback, but the code permits storing or parking such a vehicle behind the front yard setback on a permitted driveway instead. The same subsection adds a citywide habitation ban that reaches beyond just the front-yard rule: no habitation is permitted within any such vehicle stored or parked on any property in any zone, unless it is allowed under the residential use regulations of Section 18.11.020.

The surrounding subsection (B)(1) separately bars storing any inoperable vehicle in a parking or loading area for any period of time, which can also catch a disabled RV or boat trailer left in place.
