Section 18.19.020(B)(3), part of the General Provisions limitations on parking and loading in Chapter 18.19, states plainly that the storage or parking of commercial vehicles shall be prohibited on properties in residential and open space zones or along streets within 20 feet of such zones. The 20-foot street buffer means the restriction reaches beyond the residential parcel itself to curb parking on streets that border a residential or open space district, so a commercial truck cannot simply park at the curb just outside a homeowner's zone line to evade the rule.

The same subsection (B), at paragraph (4), separately prohibits repair and servicing of vehicles within any parking or loading area in non-residential zones unless conducted inside a designated building or structure, and in residential zones bars commercial vehicle repair and servicing outright, closing off a related workaround where a resident might otherwise use a driveway as a repair bay for a work truck.
