Lynwood fences must be permitted, meet height limits, keep corner sight areas clear, and provide a gate opening at least 30 inches wide for access to structures. Front-yard fences must use approved decorative materials and spacing.
Lynwood Municipal Code Section 25-10-12 sets several requirements beyond height. Fences or walls must provide a gate or other suitable opening no less than thirty inches (30") wide to give access to primary or accessory structures. Front-yard fences must meet the clear corner sight-visibility area of Section 25-10-8, which keeps a clear area at street intersections so visibility is not obstructed. Open fence material in the front yard may not exceed two inches (2") in width nor be spaced closer than four inches (4") apart, and solid block walls are not permitted in the front yard setback except for required supports. Front-yard decorative columns may not exceed 48 inches and solid supports may not exceed 24 inches wide.
Blocked corner sight areas, missing access gates, or noncompliant front-yard spacing are violations subject to enforcement and possible fence modification or removal.
