Westchester County Department of Health inspects public and semi-public pools; residential pool permits and inspections are handled by municipal building departments.
Per NY Executive Law: up to $5,000 fine and/or up to 15 days jail per day of violation. Pool alarm signage: $500 first offense, $1,000 subsequent.
