Miami Beach garage sales must be conducted during permitted daytime hours, generally from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the two consecutive days specified in the permit application. Sales may not begin before the posted start time or continue after the posted end time. The sale must take place entirely on the residential property β in the yard, driveway, or garage β and may not extend onto sidewalks, swales, or public rights-of-way. All merchandise, tables, and signage must be removed and the property restored to its normal appearance immediately after the sale concludes. Signs advertising the sale may only be posted during the sale period and must be removed immediately afterward. Noise from the sale (customers, music, etc.) must comply with the city's noise ordinance. The two-day limit is per permit and cannot be split across non-consecutive days. Contact Code Compliance at (305) 673-7555 for enforcement questions.
Operating outside permitted hours, extending onto public property, or leaving signage posted after the sale ends are code violations subject to fines. Excessive noise during the sale may result in separate noise ordinance violations. Code Compliance: (305) 673-7555.
