Miami restricts garage sale hours to reasonable daytime periods. Sales must comply with noise ordinance provisions and may not operate during early morning or late evening hours.
Garage sales should operate during reasonable daytime hours, generally between 8 AM and 6 PM (or sunset, whichever is later). Setup activities before 8 AM may violate noise restrictions. Sales on Sundays are permitted during the same hours. Evening sales extending past sunset should have adequate lighting that does not trespass onto neighboring properties. Signs for sales must be removed when the sale is not in progress.
Operating outside reasonable hours or creating excessive noise may result in code compliance citations. Noise violations carry separate penalties.
