Cities cannot ban fireworks on designated holidays. Aerial fireworks that propel, detonate, or explode are illegal to sell in Miami. Use fireworks outdoors on paved surfaces at least 25 feet from buildings, cars, and trees. Sparklers and novelty items legal year-round. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue provides safety guidelines for the three legal dates.
