Pearland caps each garage sale at three consecutive days under Chapter 11Β½, and city-issued signs cannot be posted before 5 a.m. on sale days.
Pearland Chapter 11Β½ limits each permitted garage, yard, or estate sale to a duration not to exceed three (3) consecutive days. Sale signs issued by the city cannot be posted earlier than 5 a.m. on the day they are used, and they may not be placed in any public right-of-way or attached to utility poles, trees, public buildings, or street signs. Only the three city-issued signs may be used to advertise the event. Signs must be removed promptly when the sale ends. These timing rules combine with the citywide cap of two sales per year and one per quarter to keep residential garage sale activity limited and visually consistent.
Running a sale beyond three consecutive days, posting signs before 5 a.m. or in rights-of-way, or leaving signs up after the sale ends can result in sign removal, citations, and denial of future permits.
