There is no countywide overnight parking ban. Corpus Christi only restricts 1:00 a.m.–6:00 a.m. parking on posted streets. Overnight camping and parking is allowed on Padre and Mustang Island beaches with a $12 annual beach sticker; the barge dock lot bars 10 p.m.–5 a.m. parking.
Nueces County sets no overnight parking rule. In Corpus Christi, overnight parking is generally legal unless signed: Code § 53-174 bars parking between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. only on streets listed in Schedule VIII where signs are posted, and the barge dock lot is a tow-away zone from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. (§ 53-178). On the Gulf beaches, overnight beach camping and parking is permitted under Texas Open Beaches with the required beach parking sticker; Padre Island National Seashore also permits free overnight beach camping in designated areas.
Parking on a posted 1 a.m.–6 a.m. street or in the barge dock lot after hours draws a citation and possible tow; beach areas require a valid parking sticker.
