Polk County sets no blanket ban on overnight on-street parking in unincorporated areas. Instead, the same day-and-night restrictions on where you may stop or park (intersections, hydrants, rights-of-way) apply around the clock. Your city may impose overnight limits.
There is no countywide overnight-parking curfew in the Polk County Code of Ordinances. What governs is Sec. 10.3-17 (prohibited places) and Sec. 10.3-18, which apply at all hours; oversized vehicles over two tons payload may not be stored on rights-of-way at any time. On residential lots, LDC Sec. 218 governs where boats/RVs may sit overnight and bars living in a parked vehicle. The only time-specific county rule is the mailbox restriction (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.). Incorporated municipalities such as Lakeland, Bartow and Winter Haven often adopt their own overnight on-street parking limits, so check your city code.
Where a Sec. 10.3-17/10.3-18 restriction is violated overnight, the escalating fine schedule applies: warning, then $100, $250, and $500.
