Nueces County has no general street-parking ordinance for city streets — those belong to each city. Corpus Christi requires vehicles to park parallel, facing traffic, with right wheels within 18 inches of the curb, and no parking that leaves under 10 feet of roadway.
Public streets inside a city are governed by that city, not the county. Corpus Christi Code § 53-140 requires parallel parking headed with traffic and right-hand wheels within 18 inches of the curb. Section 53-145 bars parking that leaves less than 10 feet of roadway free for traffic. On unincorporated county roads, Texas Transportation Code § 545.301–.302 controls where you may stop or stand. Parking regulations are only enforceable where signs are posted (§ 53-176).
A Corpus Christi parking violation is enforced by citation with an added $5 court cost or administrative fee under § 53-153; repeat offenders risk impoundment.
