Queen Creek's Town Code does not impose a published permit or frequency limit on residential garage sales, but the Zoning Ordinance (Article 7, Sign Regulations) controls garage-sale signs: they may be on stakes or boxes, must be kept off poles and out of the roadway clear zone, and must be removed immediately after the sale.
Queen Creek treats garage and yard sales primarily through its sign regulations rather than a separate sale permit. The town's sign code (Zoning Ordinance Article 7, Sign Regulations) lists garage-sale signs among the temporary signs that are allowed subject to placement, quantity, size, material and duration limits. Garage-sale signs may be attached to boxes or placed on stakes, but they should not be attached to light poles, street signs, traffic poles or any other roadside structure, and they must be removed immediately after the sale ends. The town's general sign rules also prohibit signs on sidewalks or medians and within fifteen feet of any roadway edge, and bar signs on traffic-control devices and utility poles. We did not find a published Queen Creek ordinance setting a maximum number of garage sales per year or fixed sale hours; residents planning frequent sales should confirm current rules with Planning Staff or Code Compliance. Sale items and leftover merchandise are still subject to Chapter 10's nuisance and litter rules, so debris and unsold goods cannot be left to accumulate in public view after the event.
Improperly placed signs - on utility or traffic poles, in the roadway clear zone, on sidewalks or medians, or left up after the sale - can be removed by the town and may draw a code-compliance notice. Leftover sale debris or merchandise left in public view can be cited as a nuisance under Chapter 10.
