Failure to collect or remit Ohio sales tax (R.C. 5739.02) or Montgomery County lodging tax (R.C. 5739.09) can trigger Ohio Department of Taxation assessments, penalties, and interest. Operating an STR in violation of a township zoning resolution is enforceable under R.C. 519.99. City-level violations carry separate municipal penalties.
