Short-term rentals in Isleton are subject to Sacramento County Transient Occupancy Tax, currently 12 percent of gross rent for stays of 30 days or less. Airbnb and Vrbo collect and remit TOT directly to Sacramento County under existing tax agreements. For direct-booked rentals, hosts must register with the Sacramento County Tax Collector and file quarterly returns. A city business license fee of roughly $50 to $150 annually also applies. Isleton does not currently impose an additional city-specific lodging tax. Statewide, short-term rentals are exempt from state sales tax since lodging is not subject to sales tax in California.
